Welcome! I’m Claire Waggoner, a freelance writer and SEO consultant passionate about solo travel, homemade food, and New York City. I worked at Spoon University for two years as an associate editor, where I specialized in search engine optimization (SEO). I spent most of my time researching keywords and editing search-friendly articles. During my time at Spoon, I grew our monthly search traffic by 500% by pitching highly searched content and editing articles with SEO best practices in mind.
In addition to my work with Spoon, I run my own travel blog, Tall Girl Big World. Tall Girl Big World is a resource for aspiring travelers who want to adventure on a budget. My goal is to inspire readers to forget about saving up their PTO days and start exploring their own city on the weekends. Whether you’re in need of NYC restaurant recommendations or are thinking about moving to a new city, Tall Girl Big World has the content you need.
Before moving to NYC, I studied at Indiana University and triple majored in Germanic Studies, English, and International Studies. While in school, I interned at the Indianapolis Monthly, where I fact-checked articles pre-publication, wrote for their blog, and assisted with other publishing tasks. I also interned for the popular food blog, A Couple Cooks. While interning with A Couple Cooks, I managed their Facebook page, assisted during photo shoots, and edited all 100 recipes in their cookbook, Pretty Simple Cooking (which now has over 100 glowing reviews on Amazon!).
If you’re in need of a writer, editor, or copywriter who’s trained in SEO and has hundreds of articles under her belt, I’m your gal.
